Merging stuff in GitLab

Tommaso Pecorella
Hi all,

I have a (small) question on how to attribute code on GitLab merges.

I knew how to “force” a commit author on Mercurial, but… how can we do the same (or similar) in Git ?

The problem: someone submits a merge request (let’s say https://gitlab.com/nsnam/ns-3-dev/merge_requests/74 <https://gitlab.com/nsnam/ns-3-dev/merge_requests/74>).
I want to approve it, merge AND modify the commit message (e.g., icmp: (fixes #62) ICMP handle time exceed responses).

What’s the correct way to do it ?

Thanks,

T.
